Jardins D'Arthur & Basilic V3
For the third version of Jardin Arthur, you will discover in this bottle a blend of spontaneously fermented beer from 2021 and inoculated beer. The beer was inoculated with Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast harvested from Val d’Espoir honey. This blend was then macerated with rhubarb and basil, both sourced from our gardens. The carbonation occurs in the bottle using organic clover honey from Gaspésie. The ingredients come from the Quebec terroir. The beers are brewed with 35% raw wheat and 65% malted barley, and we use only aged hops during the boil.
With a soft golden color, Jardin Arthur Basilic stands out for its acidity, derived from both lactic bacteria and rhubarb. The basil gently balances the overall flavor at the finish. To fully enjoy the aromas present in this beer, we recommend serving it in a coupe. The ideal serving temperature is between 6 and 12 degrees Celsius. This evolving beer gains complexity with age.
To enjoy the fruit at its best, we recommend consuming it within three years of bottling. The beer continues to develop over time, but sometimes at the expense of the herbs. Unfiltered, unpasteurized.
For storage, keep the bottles out of direct sunlight and upright. Acidic beers may affect the metal cap over time.
Aging potential: 5 years
